I've always believed that talent for being artistic is really god sent. A lot of people have the desire to become a painter or musician but its not something everyone can pursue. But the ones that do, find tremendous success and passion which makes them head for greater things. These are the words I use to describe 'Bree Madden's photography. The images captivated me and being a huge nature lover myself, I felt myself being transformed to a peaceful place sitting by the lake somewhere listening to the waves, surrounded by bright colorful flowers. Can you hear the waves? I had the pleasure to interview Bree and try and discover her amazing talent for photography.. Read on :)
Hanz - Welcome Bree! We would love to know more about you, what do you do, besides photography?
Bree - I am a full time mother and wife. I run after my 2 year old all day lol that in it self is a full time job!
F.E - What does handmade mean to you?
Bree - Handmade is so special as each person puts so much time, love and effort into what they are doing. It is so wonderful to support handmade!
F.E - Who has been most influential regarding photography?
Bree -My husband for sure! He is always helping me, giving me feedback, looking for my next picture with me!
F.E - When did you know you were an photographer?
Bree -I have always loved to take photos. After I had my daughter I planned on staying at home with her. That is when I truly turned this my passion and hobby into a business.
F.E - How would you describe your creative process?
Bree -I just have to be in the moment when I am taking photos. It is hard to go out and take pictures. I have to be in this "mood" to feel the creativeness.
F.E - If you could peek inside the studio of any photographer (dead or alive), who would it be?
Bree - Oh this is a hard one. I think I would love to look into anyone's studio! I bet everyone person is so different in their creative process that everyone's is so interesting.
F.E - What handmade possession do you most cherish?
Bree -The handmade ones from my daughter. She is already an artist in the making :)
F.E - How do you get out of your creative ruts?
Bree -I have a playlist that really helps. It really gets my creative juices flowing when I listen to music!
F.E - Where would you like to be in ten years?
Bree -I would love to be right here in Southern California doing what I love Photography but on a bigger scale! More craft fairs, art shows.
